Homo technologicus

Technology is an important, omnipresent part of our daily lives. When I started this series as a school project, I set out to capture people interacting with technology in public spaces. While at the outset I had simply defined “technology” as anything that requires electricity, I soon realized that what I encountered most were humans interacting with their smartphones. Some of the scenes struck me as quite odd – people in public spaces choosing to interact with their smartphones instead of with the humans around them.
